OIP Condenser Bushing
Function, Application

Transformer oil-impregnated paper (OIP) condenser bushings are used to pass high-voltage wires through transformer oil tanks, both as supports for conductive parts and as insulators for oil tanks.

Application:

  1. Ambient temperature: -40~+40℃
  2. Altitude and pollution level: ordinary bushing can be applied to the average normal area below 1000m above sea level. Contamination-resistant bushings are suitable for use in defined contamination areas. The pollution resistance grades include Class I, Class II, Class III, and Class IV, and the corresponding creepage distances are 16mm/kV, 20mm/kV, 25mm/kV, and 31mm/kV.
  3. Installation: For the bushing installed vertically, the angle between the axis of the bushing and the vertical line is 0 to 30°; for the bushing installed horizontally, the angle between the axis of the oip type high-voltage transformer bushings and the horizontal line is allowed to be 0 to 15°.

Performance and dimensions:

ChinSun oip transformer bushings’ technical performance and dimensions conform to the standard of IEC60137 and GB/T 4109 Insulated Bushings for Alternating Voltage Above 1000V.

Installation:

Before installation, the bushing must be checked so that it can be assured of tightness of fixed parts and no damage to parts. Dust and dirt should be cleaned on the surface of the bushing. For draw lead type bushing, the inner cavity of the conductor shall also be cleaned. If possible, the sealing performance of the bushing should also be tested.

Set the bushing vertically on the bear frame, and check and adjust the oil level inside the oil conservator, which shall be at the medium and top level of the oil conservator (viz. between 1/2 and 2/3 of the oil gauge). If the oil level is too high, the pressure inside the bushing shall become extraordinarily high and will result in possible oil leakage. On the other hand, if the oil level is too low, it is impossible to detect the change in the oil level. If the oil level is too high, the oil can be discharged in an appropriate quantity through the sampling device on the mounting flange; if the oil level is too low, the oil can be filled in an appropriate quantity through the oil filling plug on the oil conservator.
